"When Biomimicry Institute co-founder Janine Benyus presented at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Circular Economy 100 Conference in 2013, it became clear to both organizations that biomimicry and the circular economy are frameworks for sustainability that must work hand-in-hand. The concept of a circular economy emulates the cycles found in living systems. Both are powerful ideas that prompt new ways of thinking and propose a radically different relationship with our world. As such, the Institute and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation have begun collaborating to further integrate our efforts to build a regenerative world.
